Baby Shower, Part Deux

Last Monday night the ladies at IPC hosted a baby shower for us. It was a lovely evening and we received so many wonderful gifts. We now have a Pack 'N Play, a bouncy seat, lots of books, clothes, blankets, and so many other exciting things for Baby Brown. Now, we just need the baby!

Baby Shower

I travelled to St. Louis last week to visit family and to attend my first baby shower! It was so much fun and it was great to recieve so many wonderful gifts for our baby. There is quite a pile of baby stuff in our dining room now and everytime I walk by I realize this baby is really coming!

Weekend at the Lake House.

Over the weekend I went up to Sunset, South Carolina with some of my closest friends from seminary. We had a little reunion weekend to celebrate Kim's birthday. We ate lots of good food, read, rested, and enjoyed being together. The weather was terrible. I don't think we saw the sun the entire weekend and we even had some snow on Sunday night. But, it was the perfect place to spend a weekend curled up by the fire with good friends. Can't wait until we do it again!

This is where I spent most of the weekend- in front of the fire, under a blanket, reading a book.

We had craft time with Aubrey. She taught us how to make wax paper stencils and we decorated onesies and burp clothes for the baby.

A little trip to Crystal River.

Two weeks ago Alex and I headed down to Florida for the weekend. We went to The Villages to pick up Alex's mom who was in town visiting friends. We took her over to Citrus County to show her the sights. We went to the beach, had ice cream on Kings Bay, had dinner at Fat Boys, visited with friends from Seven Rivers, went to Howard's Flea Market Saturday morning, and spent a beautiful afternoon at the Wildlife Park. It was a short trip but it was great to be back home!

Belly Update.....almost 29 weeks.

Well, here we are at nearly 29 weeks. I'm sorry I haven't been better about posting pictures and updates. We don't have the internet at home and that makes blogging a bit of a challenge. As you can see, Baby Brown is growing and getting ready to make his/her first appearance in May. BB is very active and makes me aware of his/her presence all the time! I've continued to get a clean bill of health at every check up and will soon be moving from monthly appointments to bi-monthly appointments. We are getting very excited and can't wait to meet his little one.
