While in Pittsburgh we couldn't pass up the opportunity with our old friends the Tweeddales. The last time we all saw each other we did not have children, Alex and I were waiting to get married, and they were still in Scotland. So, we were long overdue for a visit! We had a quick meal together and really enjoyed reconnecting. We hope we'll see each other again soon!
We've just returned from a whirlwind trip to Pittsburgh. Alex had an interview with a church in Volant, PA which is about an hour north of Pittsburgh and about 20 miles from Grove City. We spent the day and night on a lovely farm in Plain Grove and enjoyed spending time with our hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Meal. On Wednesday afternoon we headed back down to Pittsburgh and had a quick tour of the city from the car. The city was all a buzz in preparation for the G20 Summit. We saw lots of police, boarded up businesses, and military helicopters flying overhead. It was a quick but fun trip and we enjoyed seeing a new part of the country.
We were riding in the car last week when Ada started to fuss in the backseat. I kept telling her that she was o.k. and had no reason to be crying. Well, when we got to our destination we found out why she was fussing. Sorry little girl!
